Can you join the army with ADHD? 3
I have ADHD and I am thinking of joining the army.
One of my concerns was that I would not be eligible because I have ADHD. Another thing that interests me is whether I can take my medicine even though I am registered. I am currently recommended Adderall.
I just wanted to say that Lyce's * interesting * view of the military is wrong, and it has been so for almost thirty years. All the teams are happier than ever with the weak economy and the number of qualified rookies that every team is enjoying at the moment.
In answer to your question, stay away from Adderall for a year (Doctor is OK!) And voila. ADHD almost never goes away. They will also review your academic performance, and if it affects your performance or behavior at school, you can assume that your time in the hiring office will be reduced (and not in a good way)! ).
You know, this is an interesting question. I have never seen anyone with ADHD talking in the military. I want to be sad, etc. Everything is fine as long as the drugs are controlled.
The only problem you may face as a deployment issue is that the military wants to make sure you have enough medicine for a full deployment, or that they are in your ship / station. There are medicines that he needs.
I think the only person we can answer is MEPS Doctor. Sounds like a ■■■■■ as a higher authority if you are a Navy / Navy man. I don't think the recruiters even knew which way the army would take in this matter. I guess they'll let you in or they'll be drugged.
I must warn you that the military has no obligation to comply with the ADA. Given that the military gives people more time for tests and similar tasks, but if your ADHD is interfering with your ability to work, the military can get you for medical reasons. ۔ Just keep in mind!
Edit: Look, you shouldn't ask this question here! This is a question for the doctor to decide!

My husband has ADHD and he joined the Marine Corps and had to stop taking medication for a year. Some say maybe 6 months. Of course, one year.
He did not make excuses for not taking medicine for 2 years now.
I have been diagnosed with ADHD for the first year. I am in high school now and I have not taken my ADHD medicine for 3 years and I don't need it anymore. Could this affect my ability to serve in the armed forces?
You do not need to take any medicine for one year to register.
ADHD disqualifies you for military service. If you sign up, don't tell them again and they will track you down ... you will be acquitted of false recruitment, which is equivalent to one.

Forget you can It is important to ask this question and the answer is no. It would be selfish.
Our soldiers are there to do their job in a stressful and difficult environment. The last thing you need is an extra burden to keep someone out of your control. ADHD, polar, it's not my fault, I have a disease, blah, blah, blah.
When you can take the next breath, whether you can exhale or not, it will be accepted. They want all the warmth they can get, they cuddle you in the trunk and make sure you reach your destination.
